How It Works
TDRC connects conference attendees to potential roommates. Here's the full path from creating an account to messaging a Match.
1. Create your account and Profile
Register with email and password (or Google/LinkedIn), confirm your email, and complete your Member Profile — display name, profile photo, and roommate preferences.
2. Complete identity review
Submit a government-issued ID for TDRC's manual identity-review process. Authorized staff compare it against your profile photo and account name. This is a manual identity-review step, not a background check.
3. Unlock an Event and create a Listing
Unlock a supported conference Event, then create a Listing as Offering Space (you have or are booking a room) or Looking for Space. Offering Space listings require booking evidence, reviewed by authorized staff, before they become publicly discoverable.
4. Review compatibility and send a Match Request
Browse eligible listings for your Event, review decision-support compatibility information, and send a Match Request. When another Member accepts, you form a one-to-one Match for that Event.
5. Message and coordinate
Each Match opens exactly one Conversation between the two of you. Use it to get to know each other and coordinate — TDRC does not book your hotel room or transfer any payment between you.
6. Stay safe throughout
You can block or report a Member at any time. TDRC reviews reported incidents before any enforcement action, and builds a reliability history over time — but TDRC cannot guarantee another Member's identity, safety, or conduct.
Remember: TDRC facilitates introductions, matching, and communication. You remain responsible for evaluating any prospective roommate, making your own hotel arrangements, and handling any payment directly with your roommate, outside TDRC.
