Community Guidelines

Policy version 2026-08-15

1. Be honest

Your Profile, Listings, and any evidence you submit must be accurate. Misrepresenting your identity, a listing, or a booking is a violation and may result in enforcement, including suspension or a ban.

2. Be respectful

Harassment, discriminatory behavior, and inappropriate photos or messages are not tolerated. Treat other Members the way you'd want to be treated while arranging shared travel accommodations.

3. Honor your commitments where you can

If you accept a Match, follow through in good faith. If your plans change, cancel with an honest reason — approved reasons include a safety concern, illness or medical issue, family emergency, an Event or travel cancellation, the room no longer being available, a payment issue with your roommate, your roommate no longer responding, changed plans, or finding another roommate. Genuine safety, medical, family-emergency, or Event/travel-cancellation reasons do not automatically reduce your reliability score.

4. Report and block when needed

You can block another Member at any time, and can Report behavior such as a no-show, late cancellation, false listing, payment dispute, harassment or inappropriate behavior, unsafe behavior, fake identity, scam or spam, discriminatory behavior, or an inappropriate photo. Authorized staff review Reports before any enforcement action — submitting a Report does not by itself affect anyone's reliability score.

5. Enforcement and appeals

Authorized staff may warn a Member, adjust reputation where justified, hide or remove a Listing, restrict matching or messaging, suspend, or ban a Member for violations of these Guidelines or our Terms of Service. If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may submit one appeal within 30 days.

6. What TDRC cannot promise

TDRC reviews the identity information you submit and offers reporting, blocking, and reliability history — but TDRC does not perform background checks and cannot guarantee another Member's identity, safety, or conduct. Use good judgment when meeting or arranging accommodations with any roommate. See our Safety information for more.
